Anita Doron
Anita Doron (born June 3, 1974 in Berehove, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian/Canadian film director and screenwriter, best known for her films ''The End of Silence'' (2006) and ''The Lesser Blessed'' (2012).
==Career==
Her credits also include the feature films ''Late Fragment'' (2007), ''Europa, East'' (2010), as well as short films ''Simulacrum'' (2001), ''Not a Fish Story'' (2002), ''Elliot Smelliot'' (2004), ''The Impresario'' (2010) and ''C'est Mimi!'' (2011), and episodes of the documentary film series ''City Sonic'' (2009).
After reading the Richard Van Camp novel, Doron chose to write the screenplay for the ''The Lesser Blessed'' (2012), because she was attracted to the idea of a person living on the margin of society and somewhat alienated. In preparation for the film, she travelled to the Northwest Territories to research the habits and lives of the First Nations people living there.〔Cupryn, Isabel (May 28, 2013).
